Overview The S5100 high-performance CHIRP sonar module features three fully independent channels able to deliver high-resolution sonar coverage across multiple depth ranges, precision-focused for offshore sportfishing anglers. Simultaneous split-screen viewing capability puts you in complete control of the water column, while advanced processing technology allows you to fish with noise-free clarity at all depth ranges without ever losing bottom depth tracking. Mix and match your favourite transducer coverage and transmit power for wide and narrow beam-widths to reveal more fish, detecting small and tightly spaced fish and identifying thermoclines; or adjust specific CHIRP frequencies from 28 to 250 kHz to precisely target specific depths producing big, crisp arches with clear target separation.

Noise-Free Clarity CHIRP sonar uses frequency-swept pulses to provide improved target resolution and noise rejection compared to traditional single-frequency sonar. With the S5100’s advanced CHIRP technology, you’ll see clear to the bottom with no mid-water noise or clutter.
Wide-Angle Transducer Support The Simrad S5100 is compatible with Airmar’s wide‐angle CHIRP series of transducers. These are a perfect fit for targeting pelagic species, with enhanced coverage of the upper water column. Wide-angle transducers are also useful in shallow water, where traditional narrow beam angles can provide limited bottom coverage. A wider coverage area not only speeds your search but means individual fish targets are easier to see.
Simultaneous Split-Screen Viewing View multiple depth ranges simultaneously in customisable “split-screen” configuration. Because all three sonar channels are completely independent, different frequency ranges can be viewed simultaneously in real-time on a single display.
Plug-and-Play Multifunction Display Compatibility The S5100 module connects to Simrad NSS evo3 and NSS evo2 multifunction displays, NSO evo2 glass bridge systems, and S2000-series fish finders. High-speed Ethernet connectivity enables easy installation almost anywhere on board. An S5100 module can be used to add sonar capabilities to a modular NSO evo2 system, or to provide additional sonar capabilities on integrated displays with built-in sounder technology.
