The AIS Man Overboard Beacon is a marine safety device that can be attached to a life vest.

The MO520 AIS MOB is a self-contained emergency beacon designed to be attached to life jackets or wet weather gear, which provides rapid distress alerting in a man overboard situation.

The MO520 is compact and lightweight, offering a 5-year battery life with an integrated GPS receiver and IP68 Ingress Protection.

The MO520 can be automatically or manually activated. Once activated, the MOB transmits an AIS message which contains the position of the device. When received, the AIS transmission is translated and displayed on a chart plotter, allowing potential rescuers to quickly and easily locate the beacon. This distress message is transmitted every 1 minute for a minimum period of 48 hours.

The MO520 also features a high intensity LED light which flashes Morse Code “SOS” every 60 seconds.
